The lives of wonderful people and especially young children that have been so heinously taken is beyond my comprehension. My heart just hurts, and it's at times like these that I am thankful God says His Spirit will intercede on our behalf when we just can't come up with anything on our own besides a heart laden with sorrow.
Times like these bring the spiritual realm into focus - or at least into discussion. I read a piece by a favorite theologian of ours this morning that I felt was well written, and at the end he includes a link to an article entitled, "The Salvation of the Little Ones: Do Infants Who Die Go to Heaven?" You can go here to read the article and get to his link from there. John MacArthur has a book entitled Safe in the Arms of God which also deals with this same subject. This book was translated into Russian and given to the families and members of the community in Beslan, Russia some years ago when terrorists wreaked havoc in one of their schools.
